This Contract requires the CONTRACTOR to provide approximately 18 Local Power Range Monitors (LPRMs) for the DISTRICT’S Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS), located near Brownville, Nebraska. The LPRMs are located in the reactor pressure vessel and are used to monitor the neutron flux inside the nuclear core when the reactor is between 0 and 125 percent reactor power. The LPRMs are used to provide trip signals to activate lights, instrument inoperative signals, and annunciators. LPRMs are also capable of generating scram signals.
