Description

Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) intends to procure helicopter services and all other necessary labor and equipment for the removal of the overhead shield wire (OHSW) insulators at 118 structure locations, removal and replacement of OHSW insulators at three (3) structure locations with DISTRICT provided hardware, and aerial number replacements at 122 structure locations with DISTRICT provided hardware. These services are necessary on one (1) 345kV transmission line, transmission line (TL)3509, located between NPPD’s Keystone and Gerald Gentleman Station (GGS) Substations. It should be noted that TL3509 is a double circuit 345/115kV line for approximately seven (7) miles. All work is scheduled to be completed under de-energized conditions.

A non-mandatory pre bid Microsoft Teams meeting for prospective Bidders will be held at 11:00 a.m. CDT, on April 9, 2024. The purpose of the meeting will be to review the Contract specifications and to answer any questions or clarifications the Bidder may have concerning the Contract requirements. It is the Bidder’s responsibility, while participating in the meeting, to ask any questions necessary to understand the requirements of the Contract so the Bidder can submit a bid that is complete and according to the specifications.
