Description:

Sealed Bids will be received by the Department of Utilities of the City of Fremont, Nebraska at the office of the City Clerk, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska, until 2:00 PM Local Time, on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023, for the purchase of the following:

Installation of Electrical Conduits

The Work includes furnishing all labor, equipment and ancillary materials required for the installation of electrical conduits and equipment pads as described and illustrated within the bid documents. Conduit, fittings and equipment pads will be provided by Owner.

Bids received after the above specified time for opening will be returned unopened to the sender.

Plans and Specifications are available by request at the office of the Electrical Engineering, 3000 E. 1st St., Fremont, Nebraska, 68025 (Phone 402-727-2613; Contact: Kent Deming).

Each proposal shall be sealed in an envelope marked “INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL CONDUITS”.

Each bidder shall submit with each proposal a certified check or bid bond by a nationally recognized company, countersigned by a resident agent, payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Fremont, Nebraska, the amount of which shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price and which shall guarantee good faith on the part of the bidder and the entering into Contract within 15 days after notification of acceptance at the price bid.

A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price will be required of the successful bidder at the time of execution of Contract.

Bids will be evaluated by the City based on price, time required for completion, reputation and experience of the Contractor, proposed sub-contractors and all supporting documentation required and submitted within their proposal. The City reserves the right to select the bid which best suits its needs whether price is the lowest or not, and also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities therein, and all bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the City for any penalty brought by any bidder because of such rejections; and the filing of any bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the bidder to these conditions.

Bidders may not withdraw bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
