The University of Nebraska intends to procure a qualified Architect / Engineer (A/E) to provide design, preliminary cost estimating, permitting assistance, and construction administration services for the Scott Engineering Center Renovation for Robotics Lab project. The estimated construction cost under a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) is $2,965,354. The total estimated construction budget including the GMP, in-house construction services, and the Owner’s contingency is $3,405,054.
The proposed project is to renovate approximately 6,600 Gross Square Feet of basement mechanical space into the Heartland Robotics Research Lab. The project is largely funded by the US Dept of Commerce Economic Development Administration BBBRC (EDA) grant. The project will be designed and constructed in accordance with EDA grant requirements.
