This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for the purpose of conducting market research and obtaining industry information ONLY. No proposals are being requested, nor accepted at this time. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of small business concerns, including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). This information will be used to develop an acquisition strategy for possible disposition and salvaging services of a KC-135E aircraft.
The Nebraska Air National Guard intends to remove the vertical stabilizer, aircraft boom, and small miscellaneous components prior to contractor disposition. The intent is to have the remainder of the aircraft completely disposed of or salvaged by the contractor. The aircraft is currently intact (tires, landing gear, all structural components) on the Nebraska Air National Guard ramp located in Lincoln, NE but is in poor condition and towing of aircraft would not be advised.
A performance work statement has not been drafted, and the Nebraska Air National Guard is open to input from industry on key requirements to include for the services.
