Description

Awarded – Sole Source Emergency Contract to replace Chiller pumps at the VA Grand Island Facility.



A normal requirements package was submitted to the Contracting Department, but while the package was being reviewed by the Contracting Department one of the Chiller Pumps began leaking which caused more than one “near-miss” health and safety incident due to the additive in the water which is very slippery to walk on and burns the eyes.



An emergency order was placed with a local vendor who was able to perform the government’s emergency requirement.
